Volunteer

Warrah Specialist School values our volunteers who generously give their time and energy to support our school. There are many opportunities to provide individual volunteering support.

We are currently seeking volunteer assistance to assist in the following areas:

  • Handyperson tasks and general maintenance
  • Assisting with crafts (experienced crafts volunteers)
  • Classroom assistance
  • Fundraising
  • Administration assistance
  • Cooking programs
  • Gardening maintenance
  • Making school resources

To be a volunteer at Warrah Specialist School, a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Workers Check (NDISWC) are required. Both are free for volunteers and can be obtained via these links:

Corporate Volunteering

Our work with corporate volunteers has grown in recent years, with many wonderful companies taking the opportunity to come to Warrah Specialist School to undertake volunteer activities. Available Volunteer Roles: Weekly & Bi-Weekly

Woodwork Trainer

Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including handling various tools and materials safely is required.

Weaver

Experience in weaving techniques (e.g. tapestry, loom weaving, or hand weaving).

Gardener & Maintenance

Small repairs and gardening tasks.
