Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Warrah Specialist School – the small school with a big heart, where we learn with a difference!

It is a great privilege to be part of a school community that holds each child with such reverence, recognising and nurturing their abilities and potential. At Warrah, we support students with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a rich, Steiner-inspired curriculum, tailored to meet individual needs and foster growth in every aspect of life.

We work in partnership with families, therapists, and our broader community to create an environment where each student can thrive, not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and spiritually. We celebrate progress in all its forms, recognising quiet victories and remarkable milestones alike.

Our approach is grounded in warmth, respect, and deep understanding. We believe learning happens best when students feel seen, heard, and valued. Dr Rudolf Steiner beautifully expressed this intention when he said, “Receive the children in reverence, educate them in love, and send them forth in freedom.” These words continue to guide our work each day, reminding us that education is not only about academic learning but about nurturing the wholeness of each child.

As educators, we are constantly learning from our students. Their courage, creativity, and individuality are a daily reminder of why this work matters so deeply. Together, we cultivate a space where every child can experience belonging, joy, and a meaningful path forward.

I invite you to explore more about who we are and what we offer. Whether you are a parent, caregiver, professional or supporter, we welcome your connection to Warrah Specialist School.
